This small antelope lives in the bushlands of eastern Africa. Tanzania, Africa.
Dik Diks,as they are called, are named for the shrill,whistling alarm sound they make to alert other to predators. Most live in pairs or alone and need habitiats with good cover,and grasses.They are water independent ,meaning they get their hydration from the vegetation they eat.
They have become a very resilent and adaptable species to the challenges of human encroachment, expansion of agricultural settlements and vegetation changes.
